Embroidered Silk Panel of the “Bokkhoranee Pond”

The fabric panel is embroidered with a type of silk called “Mai Noi” (a mulberry silk collected from silkworms that has been in their spinning cycle to get a more consistent) fine quality of silk. The embroideries depicted the “Bokkhoranee Pond” or translated as the Lotus Pond, with birds, aquatic plants, lotuses, and a couple of mythical swans. The silk was dyed with arrays of color, done in great details and depicted coloring with as much accuracy with that of a painting.
